Camp Morning
Lots of smoke around the camp sites in the morning – from smoldering fires overnight to morning fires for breakfast. But quite clear over the water. Beautiful weather made it hard to leave. Spiders and poisonous caterpillars (not pictured, no thanks!) on the tents however, made it much easier.

Smokey Sun
I forget where this smoke was from. California or Canada? Made for a cool sunset either way! Hard to grab with a phone of course. Google spiced up the main image with some extra color – came out interesting..

The magic of editing
Google Photos has a neat feature, where once in a while it chooses some of your uploads to “stylize” and really spice them up with after-effects. If you look at the result on its own, you might think “wow, that was a great picture!”, though compared to the actual shot, you’ll take that right back.…

The big eclipse
I tried to get the correct lens filter for the Pentax but Amazon did not come through. Boo. Fortunately there was a “smart phone” filter that came with the glasses I ordered – and it was juuuust big enough to cover my 300mm lens. So each shot required my right hand holding the camera, and…

That sunny spot
As .. dim.. as Imara might be – she appreciates the finer things, at least in a dog’s opinion. Fall-Spring provides ample sun through the storm door, and is the preferred place to spend the morning. Can’t blame her!

Day 1 – Today’s Weather
Bright and sunny – but still freezing March air. So I skipped February 2016.. started back up in March. The pictures should get a little warmer now – as our actual air gets colder.. ha!

The view – out my “office” window. And.. hmm.. photo was late July, and the garden is barely going anywhere. Notice the ridiculous amount of trees, too.
