Camp Morning
Lots of smoke around the camp sites in the morning – from smoldering fires overnight to morning fires for breakfast. But quite clear over the water. Beautiful weather made it hard to leave. Spiders and poisonous caterpillars (not pictured, no thanks!) on the tents however, made it much easier.

About that Smoke
I have a habit of serenading the whole neighborhood in smoke when I’m cooking. BBQ is underrated and underserved in New England, so I feel obligated to give everyone a taste. Not of the meat, that I’m much more selective about! Especially when its a small cut. And it tastes infinitely better than it looks!

Smoking and Bistro Dining
Neither really related either. Kids are enjoying some initimate bistro dining (in the breezeway – where the breeze is their own smelly shoes). Smoke gets in your .. dining room
The fireplace was working overtime courtesy of ‘snowtober’ – power was out for about 2 days, so sitting by the fireplace was about as good as things got.
