Many years ago, perhaps a few decades, that is – I recall complete wonder after viewing a celestial object MOVE – as it cruised the sky. Later I learned it was a satellite – something that is now so ridiculously common in space that they are hazards to real space craft. And, on a good clear night, you’ll see them – quite steadily, in fact. Shooting stars are still rare at least.
