Wikipedia says.. “Potential energy exists when a force acts upon an object that tends to restore it to a lower energy configuration”
Assuming gravity counts as that force.. here we’ve got a pile.. err, many piles, of potential energy.
And if the physics definition does not fit here (hard to say since those leaves weren’t actually lifted up there), there is potential for a massive amount of energy to be spent on the damn things.
At least they look nice for the moment.
