There’s a new chain up here. You serve yourself beer, and you order food on your phone to pickup at a counter. Its all very.. interesting. Think of the beer like pumping your own gas (foreign in NJ yes) – you pour and get charged by the ounce.
And the one local here is in an office park.. literally in an old office building.
The food, without a doubt requires some technical understanding. You scan a code, load the menu on your phone, then order whatever it is you want. Oh and most of the food is sous vide. Like, cooked in a bag. What? New age.
For those skeptical, there are usually a couple great beers on tap, as well as a full bar that has a bar tender. Old school! And one of the foods is a pizza station which cuts out lots of confusion too.
Now if they just had someone serve you the pizza and beer, then someone to clear the tables when you were done..
