Two weeks previous to this post, I started the backup camera project. Here, the new camera is installed, wires cut, and now attached to the old wires.
As noted previously, a LOT of things went wrong with the project, and lots of new stuff had to be purchased to complete the job.
The wiring complexities drove me to another purchase – a “heat gun“. Turns out to wire like a pro now, you just need this, some special shrink wrap, and basic ability to strip and splice a wire. Really saved the project – and fixes some of my less-than-stellar wiring in other areas on the car.
